Most of my summer listening this year has been revisiting old favorites, partially because there's been few 2011 releases that have stuck with me, but also just because that's what summer is for. Also, as mentioned yesterday, I've also been listening to a lot of pop lately and there hasn't been much in that department that's blown me away recently except for maybe Kaka. And the new Kite, but we'll get to that eventually. What interests me most though, are the artists that didn't make a huge splash with me the first time ...

Moto Boy will be going into 9volt Studio in Malmö on June 15 to begin work on his next album.

The name Wolf Ram Heart sounds like it would be dark, and indeed this band creates psychedelic pop shrouded in darkness. These are not playful pop songs. Instead, their new album, Betrayal of Hearts, is filled with dreamy melodies, spacious instrumentation and the soft, mysterious vocals of David James. At times, James’ vocals hint of a less flamboyant, more perplexing Moto Boy (occasionally), but charismatic vocals are as far as the comparison goes. Despite such a vocal presence, that’s not what makes Wolf Ram Heart so intriguing. ...

Dream-pop is often best when it has a sleepy bedroom sound to it, casual and relaxed, and that’s precisely how Young Hunting like it. Bereits seit April diesen Jahres ist die aktuelle Platte „Mavericks“ der schwedischen Indie-Rocker von Johnossi auf dem Markt. Im Mai kam das Duo für gerade mal vier Daten nach Deutschland ( motor.de berichtete ). Seit gestern sind sie nun auf dem zweiten Teil ihrer Mavericks-Tour unterwegs und diesmal stehen mehr als doppelt soviele Städte auf dem Plan.
