Sasquatch! 2012 Lineup: Beck, Jack White, Bo ..The organizers of the 2012 Sasquatch! Music Festival announced the lineup for the event, which will be held at The Gorge in George, Wash. over Memorial Day Weekend (May 25-28). We get two Jacks, as Jack White will appear as a solo artist and Jack Black will perform with Tenacious D. Also a top the diverse bill are HT faves Beck, Bon Iver, Pretty Lights, The Roots and The Head & The Heart. Jack White, Beck, Bon Iver Headlining Sasqua ..Perhaps the indie-est festival in the U.S. — Sasquatch! — announced its lineup last night. Performers at the Gorge Amphitheatre in George, Washington, for the 11th installment of the fest (May 25-28) will include Jack White, Bon Iver, Beck, Vincent">St. Vincent, tUnE-yArDs, Feist, Tenacious D, the Alabama Shakes, Shabazz Palaces, Dum Dum Girls, the Roots, the Walkmen, Zola Jesus, the Shins, Spiritualized, the War on Drugs, and more. Coeur De Pirate - Blonde (2011)Reviewing Blonde, the new album from Montreal's Béatrice Martin, aka Coeur de Pirate, poses an unusual challenge for me. Being a Francophone record, I don't have a bloody clue what she's singing about. Thankfully, her music is rich and expressive enough to provide plenty to latch onto, regardless of my level of understanding. Blonde is an incredibly vibrant record. Martin has an obvious affection for retro sounds, much of the album sounds like '60s female soul, she can be a French equivalent to the likes of Duffy or Adele. Coeur de Pirate , Blonde Let's face it: with her voice and her ear for melody, Beatrice Martin could probably sing in Simlish and still have it sound good. Or, more realistically, after the success of her self-titled debut, she probably could've allowed herself to coast a little on Blonde .
