Moritat is a power trio from Chicago that blends all sorts of different Rock sub-genres. At once they can sound like Yo La Tengo, Sonic Youth and Redhead">Blonde Redhead, while retaining harmonies and spacey noises that are uniquely their own. The group already has one EP under their belt, One Minute Fade, and they will release their first full length, Clill Blanzin on 6/26. The band's new single "Cats" is available for download. The lineup for the annual Celebrate Brooklyn! concert series in Prospect Park, has been announced. It kicks off with a Jimmy Cliff show on June 5. Arguably one of the best albums of the 70's, Big Star 's Third/Sister Lovers is set for a revival at The Barbican, London on May 28th. Joining Jody Stephens , the only surviving Big Star member, will be Sharron Van Etten , Robyn Hitchcock , Mike Mills (R.E.M.), Ira Kaplan (Yo La Tengo) and Norman Blake (Teenage Fanclub) to perform the entirety of the seminal album.
