However, every Spektor">Regina Spektor album also has a batch of songs that are either monotonous or brimming with self-indulgent vocal runs and other nonsense. So will the new studio album, What We Saw From The Cheap Seats (out May 29th), fair any differently? The start is very promising. The album opener "Small Town Moon" begins as a standard Spektor piano number. She jerks you out of the moodiness part way through with a completely unexpected 'woo!'. Ke$ha samples BlurBlur fans should cover their eyes and ears now as it would appear that sassy American Ke$ha has sampled the legendary bands hit 'Song 2'. The fifty three second snippet has appeared online and sounds like Damon Albarn’s iconic “Woo Hoo” from the 90’s track has been sampled into the hook. ’Song 2’ was the second track on Blur’s self titled fifth album which ironically reached number 2 in the UK charts back in 1997. San Francisco’s Future Twin have caught my a ..San Francisco’s Future Twin have caught my attention with their aggressive, angsty vocals courtesy of lead singer Jean Jeanie. On their debut 4 track, Situation , the band have the whole dirty rock thing on lock. The heavy guitar licks, and pounding percussion, easily keep pace with the chaotic vocal work. It all makes for a truly badass band. I wouldn’t think a band like this would have a song called “<3”, but it easily is my favorite song off this EP, with a whole lo-fi asthetic taking over, and some poignant synth lines too woo any naysayer over ...Hand Clap Movement19 May 2012
