Music Review: Daughn Gibson - All HellDaughn Gibson All Hell [White Denim; 2012] by Elliott Sharp Rating: I was recently listening to All Hell , the debut album by Daughn Gibson, and queued up right after it in iTunes was Lil B’s The Basedprint 2 . As the last track of All Hell segued into the opening track of The Basedprint 2 , I thought it was the same damn album. That’s ’cause All Hell has a somewhat similar cloud-rap sound — without the rapping, of course, but the music’s something like a Clams Casino instrumental. White Denim British Shows, New EPWhite Denim are set to release their new album ‘Takes Place in Your Work Space’ on June 25th. White Denim just can't stop. The Texan band returned with new album 'D' last year - a superb distillation of everything they set out to achieve. Since then, the band have gathered a few experimental offcuts onto a recent compilation, before releasing a few covers. Starting out five years ago as Shoreditch’s answer to the Camden Crawl, they quickly incorporated Glasgow on the tour, and the festival now feels something like an institution. Cobertura do festival Bananada 2012White Denim no Festival Bananada Procurando um lugar onde pudéssemos comprar cerveja às três da madrugada no centro de Goiânia, encontramos, próximo a um puteiro no qual alguns policiais acabavam de entrar, um boteco aberto. Na porta, junto a mendigos e crackeiros, sujeitos cabeludos com camisas de bandas de heavy metal. Dentro do bar, alguma banda de hard rock tocava alto. Em Goiânia, até os bares risca-faca são rock'n'roll. Goiânia é uma cidade cheia de hipsters e roqueiros. Hitting The Trunk Road: Hardcore HeavenNo scene is more antithetical to the jamband-based festival scene than that of the hardcore punks. Since time immemorial (or maybe just since the late ’70s, the annals are unclear), the two groups have existed in mutually exclusive worlds. For good reason too; other than sharing the same general mindset of inclusiveness, each group achieves their sense of musical nirvana in drastically different forms.
