Lambchop - Gone TomorrowMr M, Lambchop's tenth album, eleventh if you count Aw C'mon/No You C'mon as single discs, out 20th February, is Kurt Wagner's response to Vic Chesnutt's death, a treatise on what we learn from life and loss. The first three minutes are the kind of soul-inflected country lament, here with elegant strings backing, Wagner knocks out like others put the kettle on, before going through an ambient effect tunnel and re-emerging into all sorts of jam-like moving-on crystalline shapes.Sweeping The Nation2 February 2012

New Lambchop: Gone TomorrowWe’ve covered before how Lambchop have decided to record again following the tragic death of fellow musician Vic Chesnutt, and how an entire new album is coming. It’s going to be called Mr M, is out at the end of February on City Slang, and we’ve got a new track from it below. New, possibly last, Lambchop (audio)Lambchop has a new album coming out next year, called Mr M. You’ll have to wait till February 20th to get it, and it may well be the last they ever release. But that’s not the sad thing.
