Lion Splicer is a New York duo whose new EP dubbed Valkyrie came out two days ago, on March 21st. Composed of 20 year old Max Splice (lead guitars, bass, and vocals) and 17 year old brother, Danny Splice (drums) the twosome are self-proclaimed: "ugly and hairy young brothers ... thrashing and burning in the vein of their maverick heroes Zeppelin, Zappa, the Foos, X, the Waste, and the Dan."

Gunplay hasn't released a followup to his blood-heating goon-rap manifesto Inglorious Bastard (Prelude to Valkyrie) yet, but every single time he's popped up since then, he's upped the stakes. "Jump Out", a leak from his next release, Bogota Rich: The Prequel , is a case in point. Some gangsta-rap songs are punctuated by gunfire; "Jump Out" is pretty much nothing but gunfire. And mortar rounds. And horrified screams. And squealing car tires. It sounds like a smash-up of every ear-shattering, adrenaline-juicing DJ drop in the world. Friday night at the San Francisco International Film Festival, actor Terence Stamp (“The Adjustment Bureau,” “Valkyrie”) was presented with the Peter J. Owens award for excellence in acting.
