Tour Diary // Lanterns On The LakeLast November Lanterns on The Lake toured the UK and Europe for a month of shows in support of their beautiful album Gracious Tide, Take Me Home . The Yo-Yo's reform for two London showsThe Yo-Yo's have announced details of two reunion shows at the Camden Barfly's Jubilee club night in London on February 17. The band - who feature Rich Jones (Ginger Wildheart band, Amen, The Black Halos), Tom Spencer (ex-The Loyalties) - have reformed to celebrate bassist/vocalist Danny McCormack's 40th birthday. The band quit shortly after releasing their 2005 album, Given Up Giving Up. "It's been seven years since we were onstage after I battled some demons on the last tour," McCormack tells Kerrang!. This week's cool shows: Concert for Oliver a ..This week's Show of the Week features good music for a really good cause. Oliver, the 2 and 1/2 year old son of New Raleigh co-founder Jedidiah Gant, has cancer, and Sunday's benefit show at Tir na Nog will help his family pay for his treatments. As you can see from the poster, the band lineup is stellar, and there will be raffle prizes and even a Hot Date Auction (!). Other benefits are being planned and will be announced soon. Music Review: The Jesus Lizard - ClubThe Jesus Lizard Club [Chunklet; 2011] by Joe Hemmerling Rating: Club has me staring down Ian Latta’s dilemma : the dubious responsibility of writing a review for a work that’s now become totally inaccessible, at least in its officially sanctioned, physical incarnation. The rare double-LP, limited to 1000 copies, was released as a vinyl-only soundtrack to the live DVD of the same name, which captured The Jesus Lizard’s first reunion show in Nashville, 2009. Legendary crooner Barry Manilow is undergoing surgery to repair torn leg muscles and fix a nasty case of bursitis in his hips.
