The Offspring post recap of 'Ignition' club ..The Offspring have posted a five minute recap of their tiny club show which they played to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Ignition . The band performed the 1992 album in its entirety at Alex's Bar in Long Beach, CA on Thursday, May 3rd and used a lottery to distribute an extremely small number of tickets. Monday's mp3: Ladino RootsIs there a word for the gravitational pull one can feel for cultural tradition not one's own? There should be. I'd use it often, particularly in reference to the various musical offspring of the Jewish and Roma diasporas. Something there is about this music. Baby Watch 2012: The Sibling Class...I don't know if they had such a thing when I was a kid, but we took the munchkin to a 'sibling class' last week. Since we're in the final countdown stages of Baby Watch 2012, we're getting the little one used to the idea that she will soon have a sidekick. Live Review: Atmosphere + Evidence + Eloquor ..Eloquor proved to be a worthy choice as the local support act for Thursday’s show at The Hi-Fi, applying himself with a high level of energy and rap-skill. At times it felt like he could have concentrated on trying to engage the audience a bit more rather than constantly dancing/pacing the length of the stage, but he held his own and did well in the difficult first slot. This was definitely the kind of show that attracted a slightly odd and fairly nerdy variety of rap fan.
