Kanye West Premiering New Film at CannesPhoto by Rodrigo Ferrari Making good on January's epic Twitter rant , Kanye West has announced that his short art film Cruel Summer , "inspired by the G.O.O.D. Music album Cruel Summer " (so, apparently not inspired by the Bananarama song ) will premiere at the Cannes Film Festival on May 23 on Palm Beach in the south of France. The "immersive seven-screen experience" is apparently part short film, part art installation, created by DONDA, the multi-tiered design organization named for West's late mother.
