Hangout Music Festival have announced the th ..Hangout Music Festival , which runs May 18-20th on Alabama’s Gulf Shores, have announced their third headline act. Red Hot Chili Peppers will join Dave Matthews Band and Jack White as one of the headline acts, and will be playing alongside the likes of Wilco, The Flaming Lips, M. Jack White, Skrillex, Dave Matthews Band: Yo ..The Hangout Music Fest is only two years old, but it's already got some big lineup scores: The 2012 event features Jack White, Skrillex, and Dave Matthews Band, as well as Wilco, fest mainstays String Cheese Incident, the Flaming Lips performing Dark Side of the Moon , and Yelawolf. This year the fest runs from May 18 through 20 at Gulf Shores, Alabama (and, yes, Alabama Shakes are booked on this bill, too) where there'll be two big stages on the beach, an additional stage (not on the beach, we presume), and an air-conditioned dance tent. Hangout Music Fest Lineup 2012: Jack White / ..The initial lineup for the 2012 Hangout Music Fest , which will be held on the sandy beaches of Gulf Shores, Alabama from May 18 – 20, was announced via the festival’s Facebook page in the middle of the night and the headliners include new solo artist Jack White, musical legend Steve Winwood, PollStar’s Top Grossing Act of the ’00s Dave Matthews Band and Colorado jam band String Cheese Incident, who are set to play two sets at the event. Bon Iver sounds like dying indie rock on SNL ..Bon Iver played on SNL, but no1 watched, and no1 really cared because he didn't tank like #LDR. I guess he is nominated for Grammys, or something, but that's only because the Grammys will now have '1 white man indie rock slot' per year in the post-Arcade-Fire era. I wouldn't even recommend watching these videos. Bon Iver just represents how 'the indie scene' is getting older and boring, and most blogs are 'stuck' posting this garbage because cool dads have to waste time during the day at their jobs that make them $50-90k/year. Jazz Breaking News: Vieux Farka Touré, Mariu ..Triggering the new season at Turner Sims in Southampton will be guitarist Vieux Farka Touré , son of the late, great Malian guitarist Ali Farka Touré. Vieux’s own compound of western and African pop music, distinct from his father’s innovations, was unveiled last year with the release of his latest album The Secret that featured guest appearances by jazz guitarist John Scofield and rock singer/guitarist Dave Matthews.
