Kompakt's annual collection of pop-tinged soundscapes enters its twelfth year with label mainstays Wolfgang Voigt , Superpitcher , and The Field 's Axel Willner (operating here as Loops of Your Heart ) joined by a cast of names old and new. Just two releases deep and Hippie Dance is already my new favorite record label. Eccentric, creative and totally leftfield dance music is clearly the theme behind this imprint, and I absolutely love it. Run by Superpitcher and Rebolledo , the label's output so far has focused on their collaborative efforts as Pachanga Boys , and both releases have been some of the most interesting stuff I've heard lately. Reputed German techno label Kompakt 's long-running Pop Ambient series is set to continue in 2012, with the latest installment seeing release on January 31 of that year. The compilation features contributions from Wolfgang Voigt , Superpitcher , Loops of Your Heart (aka the side project from the Field 's Axel Willner), and Brock Van Wey 's bvdub project. Van Wey's contribution, "Your Loyalty Lies Long Forgotten", is available for streaming below.

If you like your tunes super-sized, this is a good week for you. Afrojack, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, and Nervo go large with " The Way We See The World ," the official Tomorrowland anthem, and they're not the only ones going straight for the peak-time. Jay Lumen 's "Switch (The Chocolates Remix)" is a throbbing mass of festival-grade techno, and Koen Groeneveld unleashes the sirens on "Lakbava." On Kittball , Tube & Berger and K.Sanders are a lot sweeter, but their "Bring Back The Love" is just as anthemic in its own, bright-eyed way, perfect for daytime play. On an even more underground tip, Nhar drops another trippy, late-night vocal masterpiece, "Moonhole," for Perspectiv, sounding like he's been listening to a lot of Superpitcher . Shonky remixes Alex Celler 's "Blue Vaudeville" for Cecille Numbers, with crispy 909 snares and chords you can sink your teeth into. Atavism comes to the shadowy Haunt label with a low-slung acid jack, and Glimpse sinks into dub chords and touches of blues in his remix of Stojche's "1984." And Crosstown/Hot Creations fans are going to want to hear Tale Of Us exorcise their R&B; demons with "Winds of Change," for Visionquest . This month, Barcelona's Galaktika Records launches a new sublabel, Gala; first up is Paulo Olarte , a familiar face from his releases on Liebe Detail, Trenton and Diynamic. "Mil Años" is a moody, stripped-down late-night cut with a tough percussive edge and downcast vocals, splitting the difference between track and song. (Fortunately, it's not nearly as creepy as the accompanying video.) Fans of Superpitcher's brand of bleary-eyed pop will be all over this.
