From the few songs I’ve heard you can hear and feel the Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Jimmie Vaughan influences. He’s obviously a student of his craft. But, there’s more to it than that for me. He’s 28, which would have made it nearly impossible for him to escape the influence of the hip hop and grunge music of the 90’s. Although over the past four days we’ve talked a lot about the crowd getting moving to the incredible Bluesfest artists’ beats, Day 5 felt a lot more introspective.
