The Hangout Music Fest is only two years old, but it's already got some big lineup scores: The 2012 event features Jack White, Skrillex, and Dave Matthews Band, as well as Wilco, fest mainstays String Cheese Incident, the Flaming Lips performing Dark Side of the Moon , and Yelawolf. This year the fest runs from May 18 through 20 at Gulf Shores, Alabama (and, yes, Alabama Shakes are booked on this bill, too) where there'll be two big stages on the beach, an additional stage (not on the beach, we presume), and an air-conditioned dance tent. The initial lineup for the 2012 Hangout Music Fest , which will be held on the sandy beaches of Gulf Shores, Alabama from May 18 – 20, was announced via the festival’s Facebook page in the middle of the night and the headliners include new solo artist Jack White, musical legend Steve Winwood, PollStar’s Top Grossing Act of the ’00s Dave Matthews Band and Colorado jam band String Cheese Incident, who are set to play two sets at the event. The initial lineup announcement for the 2012 Mountain Jam Festival has been revealed and it’s impressive. Joining host Warren Haynes and Gov’t Mule a top the bill will be Steve Winwood, Michael Franti & Spearhead, The Roots, Ben Folds Five and The Travelin’ McCoury’s featuring Keller Williams.
