Mosman Alder: Burn Bright (Exclusive EP Stre ..Exciting times ahead for Brisbane’s Mosman Alder, with their debut EP Burn Bright due for release on May 25. Since reviewing the EP’s first single “ Raisin Heart ” last month, Indie Shuffle has become one of the band’s biggest supporters – so much so that they have given us an exclusive sneak-peak stream of Burn Bright . The EP itself almost never happened, with Queensland hit by terrible floods during its creation. Thankfully, the band pushed through, with Burn Bright all the more special because of it. the AU playlist: Earworms - May 2012Man, it's been an eclectic month at the AU offices. We're finally getting through the haul of CDs from SXSW and CMW, including the awesome, awesome, AWESOME Oberhofer release Time Capsules II ; seriously, get on listening to that record, it's fantastic. We're also still wrapped in Prince -mania, as well as some slight anticipation for certain Splendour In The Grass highlights Howler . Regina's new album streaming onlineThe first album from Russian-born, New York songstress Spektor">Regina Spektor in three years is streaming online. ‘What We Saw from the Cheap Seats’ is the sixth studio album from Spektor and features a bunch of new material, some first recordings of older live tracks, plus a reworking of Ne Me Quitte Pas from her second album Songs. The album was recorded in the summer of 2011 with hip hop producer Mike Elizondo. Hear the whole thing right now on the NPR website . You’ll be able to look into our archives to see all our coverage of these wonderful events over the years. There were nine musicians on stage with Brisbane’s Inland Sea . That could not have been a cheap voyage. Luckily for them, they sounded damn fine, so it was well worth it, string section and all. “The Only One” ended the set. THE SMASHING PUMPKINS Announce Tour Dates; B ..The Smashing Pumpkins have announced that they will be headlining the sold-out Splendour in the Grass festival July 27th-29th in Australia at Byron Bay's Belongil Fields. They will also headline a string of shows in Australia, New Zealand, and Europe (see full dates and schedule below). The band have recently unveiled the album cover artwork for their 7th studio album 'Oceania', which is due out June 19th via Martha’s Music/EMI Label Services/Caroline Distribution. Azealia Banks Says Her Mixtape Is Out July 4 ..Azealia Banks has apparently got a ton of new music on the way: The 1991 EP (out May 29), a full-length album this fall , and a mixtape, titled Fantastic. Now two years later and their debut album Foundations is now among some of the greats that have been featured on Triple J's album of the week. Niki and The Dove - InstinctWith the many Prince connotations in Niki and The Dove 's bandname ('Darling Nikki', 'When Doves Cry') and the purple hue on the artwork of their debut album, Instinct , it's no surprise that there are further nods to the High Priest of Pop throughout the 12-track wonder. The Swedish are no strangers to creating masterful pop and Niki and The Dove (Malin Dahlström and Gustaf Karlöf) are no exception. This is a malleable album.
