Jesse Hughes, the wildman leader of Palm Desert, CA's trash-rock outfit the Eagles of Death Metal, is going solo with Honkey Kong , his debut LP under his nickname Boots Electric, out September 20 via Dangerbird Records. The fact that there’s an Eagles of Death Metal side project called Boots Electric is perfect. The fact that it’s helmed by mullet extraordinaire Jesse “The Devil” Hughes, that their debut LP is called Honkey Kong, and that the first song we’re hearing is called “Boots Electric Theme” is almost too perfect. Queens Of The Stone Age frontman Josh Homme and his partner, Spinnerette vocalist Brody Dalle are expecting their second child. According to a Tweet by Brody (pictured with Spinnerette bandmate Tony Bevilacqua), the pair - who have a five-year-old daughter called Camille Harley Joan - will become parents for the second time in the summer. "I am up the duff," writes Brody. "[Three months] aka bun in the oven, seed in the pumpkin, squid in the ocean, lotion in the basket, hole in the donut. "Thank you for all the well wishes," she adds.
