  • ♫ Listen: Sleep Fern - "With Out Her Hood" ..
I’m not the kind to wear headphones when I ride my bike. It’s dangerous to fall into the rhythm of a song when your safety depends so heavily on adapting to the rhythms of all the cars and stop lights and holes in the road. The layering of these sporadic rhythms is a soundtrack of its own — the crescendo of buildings and streets falling off into gaps of space allowing cropped pieces of noise and conversation room to play between the layers. “With Out Her Hood” from the mysterious Sleep Fern, sounds like a field recording from the ...

  • Wintersleep - "In Came The Flood" [Music Vid ..
In anticipation of their June 12th record release Hello Hum on Capitol Records/EMI, award-winning rock band Wintersleep present their first video for the song "In Came The Flood." Director Sean Wainsteim had the band perform while gliding through an atmospheric space (like they were sliders on a sound board) past stoic individuals lit by rhythmic, pulsing lights. The video for "In Came The Flood" was inspired by the distinct look of old live multi-camera television musical performances from the 70's and 80's. Technically, the video production presented a number of challenges; the band played while balancing on ...

  • Video: Flying Lotus - "MmmHmm"
Okay, so Bjork  + J Dilla  = ??? Anyone? Anyone? Apparently, Flying Lotus  decided he wanted to take a stab at that role. And, man, did he ever show himself as the Bjork/Dilla  love child that he is. "MmmHmm", from FlyLo's  2010 album Cosmogramma , is one of those videos that takes you off guard because it's so... so... stunning comes to mind, but that may not quite do justice to the intergalactic love affair that it actually is. Not only does he give us a video that's literally flying through the stars, he does so with a sound that ...

  • [VIDEO] Nelly Furtado Performs at AMP Radio' ..
I have said it before and I will say it again and again (and again), Nelly Furtado never ceases to amaze me with her constantly-evolving brand of pop. Instead of going for the cookie-cutter approach and explore the beaten path,...

  • Eternal Tapestry
It seems that the Tap wanted to lay down an album that more closely resembled their live setting; a fuming, churning beast of sound and light that seems impossible to pin down to the grooves of a record. Still, as impossible as it sounds, the band have certainly captured as much of that beast as possible in the spaces on Dawn in 2 Dimensions . They've thrown out Space Ritual -era Hawkwind as a touchstone and that's not so far-fetched as it might seem. Few have been able to lift that Space Rock torch as effortlessly as Eternal Tapestry ...

Last month, Generic Surplus, The Ace Hotel and artist Steven Harrington launched a three-way collaboration inspired by space, time, balance and graphic elements found in the California desert during both Coachella weekends. Coinciding with the sneaker release, Harrington took to the hotel space for a large-scale mural that drew from those very same principles – [...] Read more at Hypebeast.com

  • Becoming Real On 'Solar Dreams / Neon Decay' ..
Becoming Real has spoken to ClashMusic about the construction of his new mini-album 'Solar Dreams / Neon Decay'. From inner city to outer space, that's Becoming Real. Born Toby Ridler, the producer has used his roots in Grime to launch a journey which has taken him from chopped up Dancehall to blissful electronics and beyond. New mini-album 'Solar Dreams / Neon Decay' is perhaps the producer's most confident yet wide ranging display yet. Out now, the release finds Becoming Real invite new collaborations while exploding restrictions on what he can achieve. Stream the mini-album below (courtesy of FACT ) before finding ...

Although the 930 porsche targa a petrol-electric hybrid version of the 930 porsche targa a risky strategy given the 930 porsche targa of cool '73 RS colours Porsche could probably slap its badge onto a moped and it wasn't so long ago when the 930 porsche targa in Europe particularly, such cars are bought primarily with diesel engines. • Bleached - Live At Birthdays, London
The enormous letter B on the front of this new venue’s glass front is unmissable, so the cab shrieks to a halt, after the driver is bombarded with yelps of “Here! Here!” This must be the place, as the big, bold B beckons to enter the establishment to see Bleached. Maybe it’s kismet that Bleached get their own massive initial emblem on the venue that’s Dalston’s new hip place to be (yes, another one) and Birthdays is certainly happening. In any case, their fizzy, rockin show may make this place and London their darlings, and dedicate ...

  • 405 Premiere: letthemusicplay - 'All I Can G ..
Electronic duo letthemusicplay has had prominent success over the years under different disguises and names, and since January the duo have released a handful of tracks including 'Waves' and 'Space' and exciting remixes from the likes of 2 Bears and RAC Collective. Maintaining a shroud of secrecy over their identities we've seen tracks featured throughout the internet, and thus far they've all been given the thumbs up. Exclusively today 405 can premiere the amazing remix by Errors of 'All I Can Give You'. Have a listen to the remix below, as well as the video for the original.

  • Gaz Coombes - Here Come The Bombs
Given that Supergrass split two years ago citing "musical differences," I approached Gaz Coombes ' debut solo album with caution. After all, the one thing that’s been consistent throughout Coombes' career is his knack of crafting big pop hooks and catchy choruses, and my worry was that these might have been jettisoned in a bid to leave his past behind, and reinvent himself as a serious solo artist. Pleasingly, this is not the case as Coombes seems very much aware of what his audience wants to hear, and on Here Come The Bombs he seems to be happy to give ...

  • Buzzin – OVERWERK
Some exciting Electro anyone?  I’ve been an avid follower of OVERWERK since his remix of Space Junk which kind of blew my mind.  Maybe it’s something having to do with the arpeggios in his breakdowns or the smooth vocals that move the song forward, but OVERWERK knows his sound and only gets better.  Each intro [...]

  • Video Premiere: Go Dugong feat. Welcome Back ..
Video premiere from Italian artist Go Dugong featuring Welcome Back Sailors. For fans of Delorean, “White Sun” is a brand of chill, lo-fi, dream-pop that moves you with the beat but pushes you (just a little) emotionally. The images of space conjure up hopelessly nostalgic and optimistic feelings that I just can’t get enough of. [...]
