Download link is in the original post Sounds like: LCD Soundsystem, Soulwax, Yeasayer, Art vs Science Song: Re:Enactment - Too Much [download here ] What's so good? Since their inception in 2007, Brisbane’s Re:Enactment have been building a local reputation for their dance-inducing live performances. With a wide range of influences, the electro-rock four-piece have a very unique sound, quite original. Having flown below the radar somewhat over the years, Re:Enactment look bound to change that with the upcoming release of their debut album, Sport – due for release in March this year. The first track single from ...

  • Mason – Superimposer EP
Illustrious German duo Mason drops the Soulwax supported “Superimposer” on his own Animal Language imprint. The furious original sets the pace for some serious vibes with clunky drums and blopped-out bass, something new! Remixes come a-blundering from Zombie Disco Squad, Polymath, Arveene & Misk and Harvard Bass with an odd refurb...

  • Teenage God-son of 2Many DJs makes monster e ..
We’ve just been sent a promo from a duo called Troopers">Ego Troopers that had the following information attached: Their names are Mo and Oli. They are from Antwerp. They are 15 and 17 years old respectively, and Mo's godfather is none other than Steph Dewaele of Soulwax / 2Many DJs fame. These facts explain why first track Polar sounds like the biggest, most bangingest 2ManyDJs track you can think of, if it were written by two hyperactive teens going nuts on Sunny Delight. Mo and Oli can’t be bothered with putting anything in the track that isn ...

Mumbai Science is the brainchild of two mild-mannered Belgian's Maarten Elen and Jonas Kiesekoms. In a previously life they were scientists and also played together in a rock band, where they covered Soulwax tracks. Now, they are the first in line to be the kings of Future techno.

  • Ego Troopers – Blood Music EP

  • IN PRAISE OF BOOKS : TWISTING MY MELON by SH ..
I asked for, and received, a lot of books from Santa and already I'm getting through them at a fair rate thanks in part, at long last, to me accepting at 48 and a half years of age, I need assistance when it comes to reading. So after going to an optician for the first time in my life the other day, I now wear glasses for smallprint - including books and newspapers. Over the coming year I intend to highlight a few of the music books that I own - I think in terms of bios alone there's now ...

  • Nilesh Patel Passes Away
Nilesh Patel - a hugely respected mastering engineer at the Exchange - has passed away. Mastering is the final step in the recording process, and one of the most vital. London complex The Exchange has earned an international reputation, with their exacting techniques applied to some seminal material. Sadly, Nilesh Patel - one of the most highly regarded members of The Exchange - has passed away. Joining the community in 1989, the engineer earned a solid reputation over the course of two decades. Working with some incredible artists, Nilesh Patel earned credits on Daft Punk's 'Discovery', Air's 'Moon Safari' and Bjork's ...

  • Listen: Radio Soulwax's Epic, Nearly Danceab ..
Souciant has this to say: Although groups like Atari Teenage Riot and scenes like Dutch gabber have absorbed the hardcore aesthetic in the digital age, Soulwax do an amazing job of beat-mixing this most ornery of 180–200 beats-per-minute pop subgenres. While they give certain influential bands like Crass and the Bad Brains some extra shine–which evokes the surprising amount of groove in their tunes–the pair apply a distinctly anti-hierarchical approach to their mix. Many unknowns (Screaming Holocaust, DYS , Totalitar) get extended spotlights, while some rather consensually significant songs appear for a second or two as fills. Occasionally ...
