Costa Rica-based melodic metal band Sight Of Emptiness have finished recording their third and it's as-yet-untitled new album, to be released later this year. The CD was recorded at SoloHits Studios in San José, Costa Rica by Swedish Producer Thomas "Plec" Johansson (Symmetry">Scar Symmetry, Watain, Eskimo Callboy, Solution .45, Miseration), who traveled all the way to Costa Rica to work with the band closely for about 22 days. The mixing and mastering duties are being handled by Thomas Johansson at Panic Room Studios in Skara, Sweden.

Sweden’s melodic gloom lords October Tide have officially inked a worldwide deal with Pulverised Records. Now featuring bassist Mattias Norrman (ex-Katatonia, ex-Interment) and vocalist Alexander Högbom (Volturyon, Spasmodic), who take the place of former members Pierre Stam and Tobias Netzell respectively, the morose collective are currently working on the as-yet-untitled follow-up to 2010’s Candlelight-issued 'A Thin Shell' full-length, which will once again explore the beauty of darkness and sorrow. The album will be recorded at Black Lounge Studio (Symmetry">Scar Symmetry, Carnal Forge, In Mourning, Centinex) in Sweden later this Spring under the helm of Jonas Kjellgren.

Sweden's MISERATION — the collaboration between SCAR SYMMETRY vocalist Christian Älvestam and Jani Stefanovic (ESSENCE OF SORROW, DIVINEFIRE) — has announced the addition of bassist Christian Lundgren to the group's ranks.

Due to "unfortunate scheduling conflicts," the release of "Self 2.0"Christian Älvestam (SOLUTION.45, MISERATION, TORCHBEARER, ex-SCAR SYMMETRY), has been pushed back to the fall.
