Last Japan "East feat. Trim"Filtered bass drones fly in overhead on this new tune from Last Japan , which features the distinctive drawl of London's Trim . Apparently his final record before cutting an exclusive deal to work on a debut full-length with Rinse, the Roll Deep member hops to and fro over a shiny, chromed-out half-step beat. The rhythms descend into the gutter on the back of those aforementioned bass drones, finding the track's soft spots and attacking with the reclined, but metaphor-twisting flow Trim is known for. Track Of The Day 23/1 - WileyThere's just no stopping Wiley . The Grime pioneer released two albums in 2011, and opens 2012 with one of his finest full length documents yet. 'Evolve Or Be Extinct' is out now on Big Dada, with the MC able to condense his overflowing imagination into something subtle, distinct and direct. However even those commitments can't keep Wiley away from the studio. The MC recently stepped behind the mic for another session with long time Roll Deep members Flowdan, Riko and Manga. Wiley - Evolve Or Be ExtinctWiley’s latest cobbling together is infuriatingly irresistible. Asteroids-playing beats are knocked out in lunchbreaks, rhymes do as they damned well please (even that title sounds muddled) and there are concepts that are complete non-starters. R.I.P. Conscious Daughters Rapper Special On ..MTV Rap Fix : The world of music and the Bay Area hip-hop scene, in particular, lost a Special One this weekend. Karryl Smith, half of the East Oakland-bred group the Conscious Daughters, better known as Special One, passed away on December 10. Her cause of death is unknown at this time.
