  • Simon Says: 21st Century Punk With Moral Dil ..
Words: Simon Opie Punk is now just a style and the Sex Pistols were just a band, to quote Scroobius Pip . So what does the legacy of Punk mean in the 21st century? They ...

  • One Nine Nine Four filmmaker talks about lea ..
A week after his long awaited punk documentary One Nine Nine Four unceremoniously leaked to YouTube, director Jai Al-Attas has posted a blog posting talking about the evolution and creation of the film on his blog. So we were made aware last week that our documentary has leaked onto the internet. This has provided Matt and I(Jai) with mixed feelings; on one side it's potentially a missed opportunity to have it released officially & never make back our investment but on the other it seems to be really striking a chord with people and that's what we always ...

  • Suicide Is Painless
The Vermin Suicides From: Liverpool, United Kingdom For a city that have been regularly scarred by tragedy and industrial decline it's surprising that ska, the voice of the seemingly voiceless, of the downtrodden and the forgotten. If the Clash took themselves a little less seriously they'd probably sound like The Vermin Suicides . If Rancid eat scouse and talked with an accent exceedingly rare they'd sound like The Vermin Suicides. If 2-Tone had been born underneath the a statue exceedingly bare The Specials would have sounded liked the Vermin Suicides. This is the sound of ska from a ...

I never thought I'd say this, but...I'm loving being in Sydney right about now. The highlights - lots of crazy boutique bars, good cheap music, good (not so cheap) food, sun, surf, Harbour Bridge... Sadly I'm about to run the red lights and wing my way back to Brisbane. Not sad in that I don't want to go back - just that the holiday is over. Back to the grind, as it were. So let's find some tunes that will help me on that depressing drive back into reality... Let's ease into things with Red ...
