Movement Returns - Initial Line UpMovement Festival has unveiled the first names on the line up for this year's event. Detroit is America's outlaw city. At its height, the population stood at more than 2 million citizens with the area's motor industry helping to fuel immense growth. Since the industry's collapse, though, Detroit has fallen with little more than 750,000 residents remaining. Aiming to unite the city's history for musical innovation with a sense of renewal, Movement is the largest outdoor event in Detroit. Nina Kraviz, Moscow Upstart, Remodels Ghetto ..It took me awhile to come around to Nina Kraviz' recent single "Ghetto Kraviz," but I'm starting to think it's one of the more compelling club tracks of early 2012. A little context: Kraviz is a rising producer and DJ from Moscow who broke on the international scene in 2009, with tracks for Radio Slave's REKIDS, DJ Jus-Ed's Underground Quality, and Efdemin's Naïf. MOTOR’s Bryan Black on their new EP with Mar ..The thundering techno duo MOTOR is about to release its fourth album, but the engine has been definitively re-tuned. For one thing, the group is now signed to Chris Liebing's CLR imprint; for another, the album, Man Made Machine , finds MOTOR re-tooling its pummeling mechanics according to a newfound sense of song form. The record even features cameos from Gary Numan , Billie Ray Martin , Nitzer Ebb 's Douglas McCarthy, and Depeche Mode 's Martin Gore.
