The guitar playing has been a real influence - if you listen to Thursten Moore's solo stuff you can tell he probably was listening to that too, all goes around I guess. PRINZHORN DANCE SCHOOL – Clay Class(DFA/Co-Op) DFA’s UK signings return with more post-punk menace Prinzhorn Dance School may be signed to DFA, but their music has little in common with the infectious disco hooks of bands like LCD and The Rapture. Their songs, while intensely rhythmical – to the extent that they could even be called dance music if you were feeling generous – draw on the more severe end of early ‘80s post punk. Prinzhorn Dance School (of DFA fame) show of ..After the release of their sophomore effort, Clay Class earlier this year, England’s Prinzhorn Dance School are back with a new single EP called I Want You , and an understated video to accompany it. The minimalist post-punk duo of bassist/vocalist Suzi Horn and drummer/vocalist Tobin Prinz have let their melodies shine on this one, and taken a step back from the icy thud-thud-thud of their 2007 self-titled debut — which isn’t to say the lyrics on this alleged love song aren’t just as brutal.
