Mark Ronson on KCRW: A La ModelisteProducer/Musician extraordinaire Ronson">Mark Ronson stopped by KCRW’s studios today to talk about one of his newest creations, the track “A La Modeliste”. It’s a collaboration with Erykah Badu, Trombone Shorty, Mos Def, Zigaboo Modeliste, and Members of The Dap Kings. It was part of “RE:GENERATION”, a documentary film that follows Ronson, DJ Premier, Pretty Lights, The Crystal Method, and Skrillex as they remix, recreate and re-imagine five traditional styles of music. Summer Camp Late Nights: Pretty Lights / Cla ..Earlier this afternoon organizers of the Summer Camp Music Festival announced the late night acts for this year’s event. Les Claypool and the Dead Kenny G’s will perform in the barn on the Friday night of the festival. Gigantic Underground Conspiracy, featuring members of the Disco Biscuits, Big Gigantic, Conspirator and the Underground Orchestra will play a late night set on the Saturday night of the festival, while Pretty Lights will be performing the late night show on Sunday. Hangout Music Fest Lineup 2012: Jack White / ..The initial lineup for the 2012 Hangout Music Fest , which will be held on the sandy beaches of Gulf Shores, Alabama from May 18 – 20, was announced via the festival’s Facebook page in the middle of the night and the headliners include new solo artist Jack White, musical legend Steve Winwood, PollStar’s Top Grossing Act of the ’00s Dave Matthews Band and Colorado jam band String Cheese Incident, who are set to play two sets at the event.
