Bloggy Goodness: New Spider Genus – Loureedi ..Celebrities are used to having things like sandwiches, streets or drinking games named in their honor, but there have only been a chosen few that have had a spider named for them. Today news surfaced that a new genus of the velvet spider has recently been named Loureedia, “in recognition of the fact that this velvet spider lives underground,” in honor of the Velvet Underground front man Lou Reed.
