Bear CavalryPutting a carnival atmosphere on top of post rock nuances; while some bands of the same ilk may cover up dry points of inspiration with reverb, Bear Cavalry replace pretensions with upbeat drum rhythms and uplifting horns. Also leaning heavy on the Foals school of thought but with a more engaging singer they fit the new band bill which would probably also feature the likes of Polarsets. SXSW: The Final WordWell it's over; the mental-ness of 6th street, the free tacos and endless cans of beer have been put to bed. I'm sat at the airport after 3 hours sleep wondering how it went so fast. It's been overwhelming, annoying, calm, far out, mental, surreal and just goddam crazy to be honest.
