Music for Occupy announce compilation album ..Music for Occupy , an organization supporting the Occupy Wall Street movement, has just announced a massive compilation mix called Occupy This Album on behalf of the movement. The CD edition comprises 78 songs across four discs, while the digital edition is over 100 songs. Both include contributions from Mogwai, Ladytron, Tom Morello, Debbie Harry, Thee Oh Sees, Amanda Palmer, UNKLE, Girls Against Boys, Willie Nelson , filmmaker Michael Moore (covering Bob Dylan ), and more. Then Seeger was tagged as a communist, and placed on the unofficial “blacklist” by radio, film, and TV executives—where he remained for the next decade, even after the McCarthy era faded and folk music resurged.
