  • STREAMING: Mörglbl “Brutal Romance”
Most of the Deci-faithful haven’t heard of prog wizards Mörglbl, but I’m sure there are a few who know guitar maniac Christophe Godin, who’s somewhere between legends Allan Holdsworth, Mattias Eklundh (of the underrated Freak Kitchen) or Steve Vai. Or, somewhere between the groove-thrash of Pantera, the zaniness of Primus, and Holdsworth’s fusion genius. Sans [...]

  • Zakk Wylde Talks Up Pantera Reunion
A Pantera reunion with Zakk Wylde on guitar? It certainly is tasty. Feasible though? That’s another story. The bearded one, Zakk Wylde, recently spoke out to Billboard Magazine about the possibility. Despite Billboard printing Dime‘s last name as ‘Daryl’ (fixed below), the short but sweet answer read as follows: Vinnie Paul said if Pantera reformed [...]

  • Forgotten Gems: R.U. Deadly-Various Demos ..
This particular Forgotten Gem is going to be a little different. For one thing Salem, Ohio's R.U. Deadly were never able to secure a record contract. The band, which was active from 1987 to 1998, released three demos ("Burial at Sea" in 1990, "Into the Light" in 1992 and "R.U. Deadly" in 1995) and shared the stage with such acts as Manowar, LA Guns, Bruce Dickinson (solo tour), Chastain, Blue Oyster Cult, Slaughter, Blackfoot, Molly Hatchet, Noisy Mama, and Pat Travers. Despite a sizable cult following and positive press this four-piece remained unsigned. While a reunion did ...

  • Zakk Wylde Says “It Would Be An Honor” To Fi ..
By now you’ve heard Vinnie Paul saying that in the unlikely event of a Pantera reunion, he’d have Zakk Wylde fill in for his late brother Dimebag Darrell. While Vinnie Paul was quick to say it would never happen, it’s still caused quite a buzz online. And now the Black Label Society frontman may have [...]

  • New Music Video: Sleigh Bells
Although it seems the world has waned a bit with its chatter about the discordant noise of Sleigh Bells, we're still getting them in bits and pieces. Today they released a video for "Demons," and like their music, it's a near-incomprehensible mess of sensory appeal (visual instead of audible). According to the blogosphere the track was inspired by "classic Pantera videos," and features footage from concerts in OKC, Dallas, and Houston. Guitarist Derek Miller took on directing duties.
