Bobby Womack: Happy To Be Cancer-Free...There’s no news like good news! Spinner : As Spinner previously reported, singer Bobby Womack was diagnosed with colon cancer earlier this year and required surgery. Now, according to Pitchfork , Womack has just been given a clean bill of health from his doctors and is reportedly cancer-free. “We’re delighted to announce that Bobby Womack has successfully undergone surgery for suspected colon cancer,” a note on the singer’s Facebook page reads. “A tumor was removed last night which turned out to be cancer free. Bobby Womack is now cancer freeIn arguably the best news of the day, Pitchfork reports that Bobby Womack has posted news on his Facebook page announcing that he has been given the all clear from doctors regarding the colon cancer he was diagnosed with back in March.
