On July 30 internationally and August 14 in the U.S., Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds will release expanded editions of their three most recent full-lengths: 2003's Nocturama , 2004's  Abattoir Blues  /  The Lyre of Orpheus , and 2008's  DIG!!! LAZARUS, DIG!!!   These are the band's 12th, 13th, and 14th records, completing the band's full-catalog reissues project . Nick Cave’s latest foray into screenwriting has made its international premiere at Cannes. The 52-year-old singer has adapted Matt Bondurant’s novel The Wettest County in the World for the John Hillcoat-directed Lawless , which tells the story of three infamous bootlegging brothers in prohibition-era Virginia.
