The original lineup of TALAS — consisting of legendary bassist Billy Sheehan, guitarist Dave Constantino and drummer Paul Varga – will reunite for a one-off performance on July 28 at the Hard Rock Cafe in Niagara Falls, New York.

The first handful of bands for the 2012 edition of the S.C.E.N.E. Music Festival have been announced. The St. Catharines Event for New Music Entertainment will again bring a number of punk, hardcore, metal and hip hop acts to the Niagara region this summer. The Planet Smashers , Said The Whale, Wooden Sky, Down With Webster, Structures, and Counterparts have been confirmed for the event. Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band’s Wrecking Ball Tour is in full swing and will continue at least until September based on a set of new tour dates that have just been added to the run. The legendary group will play 10 additional U.S. and Canada gigs at large outdoor venues such as Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Mass.; Wrigley Field in Chicago and Nationals Park in Washington, D.C.
