Part black metal, part Gregorian chant, part Nordic folk myth, the music on "Aikaintaite" (which is Finnish for, approximately, "the passing of time") is as unique as it is poetic and powerful. Video: Shabazz Palaces - "Are You...Can You. ..Shabazz Palaces had one the best albums of 2011 and I think most of us can agree on that. The Seattle experimental/hip hop duo created something magical in summer 2011 when their debut, Black Up , was released. Their beats, their lyrics, and their somewhat mystical ways gained them a dedicated following -- including Dan and I.
