Album Review: Murder By Death - Good Morning ..Good Morning, Magpie is the fifth and latest record from America’s Murder By Death . Admittedly the record was initially released back in 2010 so I’m coming to it a little late in the day, and with only a passing knowledge of the band. They were due to tour the country later this month, but unfortunately that has been cancelled. And it really is a shame, because from listening to this record, I am convinced they would have put on one helluva live performance. Promoters Able Touring, however, say the tweets are from the rapper’s disgruntled ex-manager trying to sabotage the tour. The Plain Steel: "Folk N' Roll" (album revie ..Folk N' Roll is the forthcoming second full length album from Hamilton, ON's The Plain Steel . The group add violin, viola, cellos, and upright bass to create a mix between psychedelic rock and hillbilly stomp (think Murder By Death ). The opener "Highway Song" careens from side-to-side like an old jalopy pick-up truck rumbling down a dirt concession road. "Away" delivers a similar punch with a sharper hook. Classic rock is an influence on the album as well. Blues guitar pushes "Troubled Mind" along behind the near-Jim Morrison vocal growl of singer Ross Lizotte.
