BIGGER AND LONGER ISN'T ALWAYS BETTERSometimes, the 12" mix or version of a song ends up ruining it. Like here:- mp3 : Lloyd Cole & The Commotions - My Bag (Dancing Mix) The first single lifted from the 1987 LP Mainstream , the single stalled at a surprisingly low #46 in the UK singles charts and was an early indication perhaps that the band's big moments of glory were now in the past. The dancing mix has dated appallingly. The drum sound particularly grates. and burying the guitar work in the chorus is another big mistake.
