The Shutes unveil Echo Of Love Limited Editi ..Following the release of the Echo of Love EP in April, The Shutes have teamed up with iconic designer Switchopen to create a series of 80 hand-printed posters through Cross Key Records. The four-piece from the Isle of Wight released their five-track Echo of Love EP last month, produced by Julian Simmons (Guillemots, Midlake) now joining Switchopen to create this limited black and silver screen-print. The poster also comes with a free download of the EP ( buy here ). The Shutes will be supporting Eugene McGuiness at the Old Queen's Head on June 7th.The 40522 May 2012

The city serves as home or launching pad to bands as diverse as Midlake, Bowling for Soup, Eli Young Band, Neon Indian, and Sarah Jaffe. Even the local polka band, Brave Combo, has appeared on The Simpsons and won two Grammy Awards. Listen: Wildeflower - 'Amazing Discovery' ..The comparisons to early Midlake (back when they were good) are likely to continue today for Wildeflower , as they've released another track firmly placed in the wilderness called 'Amazing Discovery', which is the b-side to one of the best tracks of the year (so far) - ' Good Girl '. It doesn't have the instant appeal of its a-side, but can you imagine hearing this in the context of a larger body of work? It could be the epic ending to a masterpiece.
