For me, Mi Ami will always evoke the memory of their show at Barden's Boudoir back in 2010 for two reasons - firstly, because support act Islet were a shambolic blast to the adrenal gland, and secondly because Mi Ami did exactly as they said they would with then current album and stole my face. The house-music reconstructions that Planet Mu / 100% Silk contributor Ital makes can tend to be a bit misunderstood. They're hardly for house music purists, and yet the background from which Ital's Daniel Martin-McCormick comes (he spent plenty of time in screamy indie-rock band Mi Ami ) is still warming to club sounds.
