Kurt Vile, Local Nations For ATPKurt Vile , Local Natives and more have been added to the line up of ATP curated by The National. Currently on down time, The National were recently coaxed out of the rehearsal room by All Tomorrow's Parties. Handed the keys to Minehead, the Brooklyn band have invited along some friends, contemporaries and heroes. The latest batch of line up additions include American songwriter Kurt Vile. Joined by The Violators, Vile's brand of hazy, laid back acoustic musings will resonate around the chalets later this year. Megafaun - State/Meant (Daytrotter session) ..Megafaun - State/Meant ( Daytrotter session ) I’ve been listening to a lot of Megafaun since I wrote about them last week . It’s one of my favorite bands of the last few years. 2011’s self-titled album is really strong, and 2009’s Gather, Form & Fly has been one of my most-listened year over year. Both are on the great indie label, Hometapes . The guys played a Daytrotter session last month and a couple of the tracks are terrific. OFF Festival Makes New AdditionsOFF Festival has expanded its line up once again, with Metronomy, The Antlers and more being added. Held in Poland, OFF has rapidly developed a reputation for producing left field bills of an extremely high standard. Mixing experimental music with some tasteful mainstream fare, the Polish event recently expanded its bill yet again. Amongst the latest additions are Joe Mount's Mercury nominated collective Metronomy. Since the release of 'The English Riviera' the band have spent considerable time on the road, honing their live set in the process. New additions announced for Off Festival, in ..Metronomy and The Antlers have been added to Poland’s Off Festival , joining the likes of Iggy and the Stooges, Kurt Vile and King Creosote & Jon Hopkins. The award winning “best mid sized” festival takes place in Krakowice over the weekend 3rd – 5th August and tickets are still available ( here ) starting from around 50 euros. Other names added in this latest announcement include High Places and Andy Scott as well as Bardo Pond Apteka and Beneficjenci Slendoru. Hopscotch Fest 2012: what you get when Zola ..If only every city had a Hopscotch. Raleigh, NC’s big-big music festival has gotten even bigger this year, with the addition of historical (and possibly haunted!!!) sounding venues like the Long View Center, Memorial Auditorium and the Contemporary Art Museum to its 15 venues strong festival map.
