While the Walkman may no longer be relevant, the Walkmen, that band with members based in NYC and Philadelphia, are still going strong, and they have announced plans to release their not-so-long-awaited seventh studio album on June 4th. It will be called Heaven, and a trailer for it is viewable below. Are you excited? You should be. It sees release through Bella Union here in the UK, and was produced by Phil Ek, who’s done work for Foxes">Fleet Foxes, Les Savy Fav and The Shins in the past.

After announcing a new album at the beginning of the year, Bloc Party has signed to the (awesome) label, Frenchkiss Records. The label is run by members of Les Savy Fav, so maybe Tim Harrington will teach Kele how to dance on a ladder in a unitard. Or maybe Kele's already great at that, who knows?

According to The Observer , Les Savy Fav frontman Tim Harrington is taking after Jeremy Enigk, Laura Bush, Will Smith, Queen Latifa, Madonna, and many other “celebrity” writers in that he has written a book for kids that has some sort of “fresh” take on the nursery rhyme “This Little Piggy” that is normally told on feet.
