Jazz breaking news: Kurt Elling, Jim Hall & ..This year’s London Jazz Festival , which runs from 9-18 November, has added yet more top names in addition to the host of major artists already announced, confirming it’s the biggest LJF to date and a grand way to mark its 20th anniversary. Director Xavier Dolan Says He's Disappointed ..While yesterday brought good news to directors, actors, productions and distributors with the Cannes Film Festival unveiling their slate, there is one filmmaker who was a bit prickled at first. Montreal's Xavier Dolan. The 23-year-old is no stranger to the south of France, winning acclaim for his debut film "J’ai tué ma mère" which premiered at the Director's Fortnight sidebar. Dr Dre finally catches up with Cliff Richard ..There's a lot of excitement at the idea of Tupac's "guest appearance" with Dr Dre a short while ago at Coachella. Isn't this just what they used to do to get Laurence Olivier onstage at Time: The Musical back in 1985? Slightly better technology, maybe, but it was duff when Cliff Richard and Dave Clarke invented the idea; now it's just an expensively duff idea.
