    Julian Lynch’s Terra was a low-key highlight from earlier this year, and the singer has now made a video for “Back” from that record. There’s a haunting feel to this song, which is positioned somewhere between the tender balladry of Elliott Smith and the lo-fi thrum of Sebadoh in acoustic mode. The video is a low budget clip that follows a featureless figure who ends up playing the song’s central synth line on a rooftop under orange skies.     Julian Lynch's music often sounds like it's the score to some long lost film we're not seeing, so it's fitting that he's scoring a film: It's called How Mata Hari Lost Her Head And Found Her Body, an experimental animated film about a Dutch exotic dancer and accused World War 1 spy.
