Die Elektropopper von YACHT präsentieren eine neues Musikvideo. So wurde der Song "Beam Me Up" aus dem aktuellen Album " Shangri-La " in einer Laser Tag-Arena verfilmt. Der Soundtrack gibt sich entsprechend zukunfts-apokalyptisch, wenn Sängerin Claire Evans mit Siouxsie Sioux -Attitüde – unterstützt von rockigen Gitarren und Synthies – auf dem futuristischen Schlachtfeld singt. Zuletzt versetzten die Künstler aus der Hipstermetropole Portland den Track "Le Goudron" in bewegte Bilder ( motor.de berichtete ). Svensk-isländska Edda Magnason släpper idag en ny, kul koncept-EP á la Chinese whisper titulerad Jona via Adrian Recordings. Den innehåller ett original som blivit producerat av Familjen, en remix på originalet av Vidderna, en remix på Viddernas remix av NIVA (som inte hört originalet innan), och slutligen en remix på NIVAs remix på Viddernas remix [...]

"Jona" is the new Familjen-produced single from Edda Magnason. To round out the release, label Adrian Recordings asked fellow Malmö resident Vidderna to do a remix and the result can be seen/heard at PSL right now. Then they had Niva remix the remix without having ever heard the original. And then Justus Köhncke contributed by remixing the remix of the remix. There's also some sort of demo version/remix/mashup from Simian Ghost too, but it all starts to get quite confusing. Anyhow, expect them all to be online shortly?

The new single from these Mike Skinner signings is arch, knowing and a little camp – but completely amazing Man Like Me, aka Johnny Langer and Peter Duffy, are about to see if the curse of Mike Skinner's record label, The Beats, is a thing we've just made up or actual fact. From 2005-7, the label gave us early offerings by Example and Professor Green, which were greeted with a unanimous "meh" from the public (they both went on to huge success with other labels).
