We’ve been counting down the days until this year’s Newport Folk Festival , since the lineup was announced back in the beginning of March. With the fest essentially extending to three days this year, thanks in part to Wilco’s Friday night show, and music ending on the early side for music festival standards, it’s no surprise that there have been a handful of “late-night” options announced for those headed Newport. The indie label Yep Roc Records announced it will celebrate its 15th anniversary with a three-night birthday party in October at the Cat's Cradle in Carrboro, N.C. featurung artists from throughout the label's history, including Nick Lowe, Robyn Hitchcock and John Doe. Yep Rock is also offering "Premiere Fan" bundles, which includes access to a Yep Roc recording session with Chris Stamey and Scott McCaughey.
