So Black Noise have hit the New Year running. The vocal from their 'Me Plus You' track featuring Wizard Sleeve is part of the 'Riverside (Lets Go!)' track by Sidney Samson which is number 2 on the UK top 40 - nice! The crew are currently in the studio remixing the Future Heads and working with the Mighty Fools on a collaboration. Just been told about this new blog run by the label Venga Digital , home to releases from Mightyfools, Rene Van Munster, Blatta & Inesha, Tommie Sunshine, Lee Mortimer, Jackinori, Kyle Watson, Kelevra etc. I really respect the Venga label, a label that is unique in it's innovative musical catalogue. Some may say, 'fidget is dead', fidget was never alive. It was a name given in jest after all, the sound though, was alive. That jumpy, techy electronic sound has risen and risen in the past couple of years and one label to help that rise in popularity is Venga . They released EP's that were just bit more mature to the usual crap, that little bit more 'quirky'. The production on each release was tight and well-defined - which meant this label has seen rise to a number of artists that are huge in the jump-up electro production field now. This new blog 'Lock'Don' however, run by a lad called Don (of course) who is a part of the Venga A&R; team and has seen the opportunity for an output to those aspiring artists who constantly send their music into labels hoping for that once-in-a-lifetime shot at the big time. It's different to normal blogs, trust me. For one, it's run by a large label, so the contacts and the features they can get are brilliant.
