Jones' entry in Third Man Records' Blue Series of 7-inch singles could have ended up as a stripped-down bid for world-weary gravitas, in the style of Rick Rubin's productions for Johnny Cash and Neil Diamond. Or White and Jones could have stuck to a rough 'n' ready garage-rock format not unlike the series' previous installments involving Stephen Colbert, John C. Reilly, and the, um, Insane Clown Posse. Tom Jones and Jack White Release 'Evil' Howl ..Filed under: News , New Music Third Man The neverending fountain of song known as Jack White has released the latest installment of Third Man Record's Blue Series. The ongoing collaborative project, which has featured the likes of Stephen Colbert , Insane Clown Posse and John C. Reilly , will now add one more icon to it's hallowed halls: Tom Jones . The 7-inch single will feature a new rendition of 'Jezebel,' a tune also taken on by Edith Piaf and Anna Calvi , and a cover of Howlin' Wolf's 'Evil.' Kathleen Hanna to Design Set for ICP Perform ..Kathleen Hanna, Bikini Kill frontwoman and founding Riot Grrl, has something really, well, different on her list of upcoming projects. We’re not exactly sure what has the indie world gravitating toward these dudes, but as Pitchfork pointed out, she’ll be designing the set for Wicked Clown Love , a performance piece that is based on the Insane Clown Posse, their music and their dedicated “Juggalo” fans. It's unusual to collaborate with Jack White ..In a surprising follow up for his recent track with Insane Clown Posse - White will be covering Howlin Wolf’s ‘Evil’ with Tom Jones. To go along with it, a new version of Jones’ 2002 track Jezebel was reworked in White’s Nashville studio and Jack said Tom “Impressed the s*** out of everybody” while recording it.No release date has been confirmed yet for the tracks.
