Hurricane Bells is the new project from Steve Schiltz, the lead vocalist of the on-hiatus New York rock outfit Longwave. After a strong debut album and EP, the band gained significant exposure with the inclusion of a song in "The Twilight Saga: New Moon" original soundtrack. Hurricane Bells' sophomore album 'Tides And Tales' arrived in stores today via band architect Steve Schiltz's own label Invisible Brigades. Yesterday, a free MP3 download of album track "House On Fire" premiered HERE . The song is the last in a series of week-long free downloads the band has premiered over the past month. Hurricane Bells is the new band by Steve Schiltz, singer and guitarist of Longwave. I liked Longwave. It’s smooth pop, a little more mellow and mature than Longwave. And the kids love it: You probably remember their Twilight song….But don’t hold that against them. They’re pretty damn good.

Hurricane Bells is the solo songwriting and recording vehicle of Longwave's Steve Schiltz, whose fuzzy B-Side, "Monsters" added an extra layer of brooding to Robert Pattinson's entrance in 2009's The Twilight Saga: New Moon .
