Many fans of David Cronenberg have begun to miss the director's freakier films of the past, with the helmer taking on more sober fare in recent years including "A History Of Violence," "Eastern Promises" and "A Dangerous Method." Nominations for the 84th annual Academy Awards were announced today and John Williams with two nominations for Best Original Score with "The Adventures of Tintin" and "War Horse" has a 40% chance of beating out Howard Shore ("Hugo"), Ludovic Bource ("The Artist") and Alberto Iglesias ("Tinger Tailor Soldier Spy"). The 32nd annual Genie Awards nominations were announced today. The Genie Awards are the Canadian equivalent of the Academy Awards.
