The Field Side Project DetailsThe Field producer Axel Wilner has confirmed plans to release an album under his Loops Of Your Heart moniker. Already acclaimed for his work with The Field , a recent visit to Axel Wilner sparked off a few ideas in the producer's mind. Stopping off in Cologne, the producer hooked up with the collective which surrounds the MAGAZINE imprint. Assisting on the label's first release from Cologne Tape, Alex Wilner then began work on a series of new recordings. Finding that the material didn't quite suit The Field's output, the producer has decided to release an album ...Clash Music21 December 2011

Can: the ultimate film soundtrack band?The use of Can's music in Norwegian Wood confirms the krautrock pioneers have always made sounds fit for cinema He hardly needs to give up his day job, but Radiohead's Jonny Greenwood seems have a pretty good alternative career lined up as a film composer. After his dissonant, overpowering strings on There Will Be Blood, he does sterling work on this week's excellent Norwegian Wood , adding to the Japanese teen gloom with sheets of orchestral noise and tender acoustic guitar melodies. Ricardo Villalobos - Fizheuer Zieheuer Pt. 1 ..So I got it into my head that I should check out the minimal techno stylings of Ricardo Villalobos, and things were all very pleasant if a bit conventional. I was about to get bored and call it quits when I stumbled upon the astounding Fizheuer Zieheuer . All 37 minutes of it. You've got a parping little melodic loop, a single drum with some massive dub echoes sounding like a phasing grandfather clock, and that's about it.
