8 Miles to a Rapper’s Delight on the Big Scr ..Recently I sat down and revisited a Curtis Hanson film that I love, but often gets overlooked, 8 Mile . Two things struck me about the film on this particular viewing, the first was how far Michael Shannon and Anthony Mackie have come since their roles in this film. Both actors, who were still relatively unknown at this point, have gone on to be prominently featured in indie films like Take Shelter and The Hurt Locker as well as mainstream films. Great White-ElationFrontiers Records 2012 Let me start off this review by saying that I have mixed feelings about Great White. Some days I feel like they were/are highly overrated while other times I feel like people write them off too easily and that they are underrated. There are a few Great White songs that I just love like "Rock Me" and their choice cover of Ian Hunter's "Once Bitten, Twice Shy".
