Battles are in the midst of releasing a four-part 12" remix series drawing from tracks on their latest LP, last year's Gloss Drop . The first part, featuring contributions from Gui Boratto and the Field , dropped this week, and on February 20, the second part arrives, featuring remixes from the Alchemist , Kode9 , and Shabazz Palaces , whose remix is available to check out now. The first of four comes via Warp on February 7 in the U.S./February 6 in the UK, and features a remix of "Wall Street" by Gui Boratto and another of "Sweetie & Shag" by the Field , both above. Release dates for the following three 12"s are as yet unannounced.

Die New Yorker Experimental-Rocker Battles haben eine Serie von Remix-Singles angekündigt, auf denen Songs ihres letztjährigen Langspielers " Gloss Drop " ein neues Antlitz verpasst wurde. Die erste 12-Inch-Vinyl der "Dross Glop" betitelten Serie wird neue Versionen vom brasilianischen Minimal-Produzenten Gui Boratto und dem schwedischen Electronica-Artist Axel Willner alias The Field beinhalten.
