Ghost Beach

UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

Ghost Beach are the latest pop pioneers to set the internet ablaze with only a couple singles floating around and without any major label backing. Formed out of the ashes of new-wave glam rock outfit TV/TV, the New York-based duo of Josh Ocean and Eric "Doc" Mendelsohn take their '80...

  • Top Tracks of the Week: 5.11.12
This week, New York’s Ghost Beach gave us a perfect summer synth jam, while Swedish duo Icona Pop dropped an infectious, euphoric club banger that’s sure to be stuck in your head for days. Emil and Friends took a stab at Neon Indian’s “Polish Girl”, and Passion Pit released the first single off their sophomore album, [...]

  • Ghost Beach - "Miracle"
Indie-pop is dominating the music scene, especially in the past few years or so, but is that a bad thing? To me, not really as there is a lot of good music and enough variety to keep it interesting. Another band making this type of music is Ghost Beach , which we got a taste of some of their music a few months back. The New York City duo released another song called "Miracle" for free download and once again features an addicting chorus. Listen and download below. Fresh? Tweet

  • Ghost Beach – “Miracle”
I was really late to the Ghost Beach party, first hearing their unbeatably catchy single “Empty Streets” something like five months after it was released. However, the song is great in a timeless way and seemed ahead of its time – a perfect piece of summer pop dropping in October. Ghost Beach has been on [...]

  • Ghost Beach – Miracle
The latest band to carry the 80s synth revival torch is New York duo Ghost Beach. The group’s new single, “Miracle”, merges the laid back electronics of Neon Indian with the playful summertime rhythms of Best Coast. The simple high-pitched, lo-fi guitar riff that opens the song lays a peppy foundation that’s immediately accompanied by [...]

We’ve got a nifty little premier here of a new track “Miracle,” by the New York-based duo Ghost Beach. Fronted by Josh Ocean and Eric Mendelsohn, the band injects a bit of a surf pop / tropical vibe into their indie rock approach, channeling influences such as The Police, Depeche Mode and Passion Pit. Their talent hasn’t gone unnoticed — the band recently played shows with Charli XCX, Summer Camp, Gigamesh and Niki + The Dove. They’ll ...

  • [MP3 & VIDEO] Ghost Beach
We’d be crazy not to post a video from our own SXSW party right?  Now, throw in the fact that Ghost Beach made me feel brilliantly drunk with musical pleasure… well, then we’d be mental not to.   Brandon posted more about their show here.  To top it all off, Ghost Beach just released this absolute gem of a track.  ”Faded” is quite literally one of my top tracks of 2012 so far.  It does so well to capture Ghost Beach’s unique electronic sound… and … continue reading

  • Queen Of Hearts reMixed by Ghost Beach
Queen Of Hearts continues the promotional juggernaut for her latest single, ‘Neon’, with this new reMix by New Youk Tropical Popsters  Ghost Beach. Actually, that sounds like PR hyperbole , which I kinda’ hate, so I’ll rephrase. It’s not a promotional juggernaut, it’s more like Queen Of Hearts slipping you a new reMix under the [...]
